Tokyo Record Bar Mural
Located at 127 MacDougal Street at the heart of Greenwich Village, Tokyo Record bar is an underground-style scene blending together the experiences of vinyl sound and fine dining.
The artist was commissioned to paint a mural representative of the new businesses’ amalgamation of old and new, boutique and historic. The mural stands about three feet in height and spans twelve feet, wrapping around the interior seated space of the room.
The artist pays homage to the meticulous design, sweeping landscapes, and scenes of daily experience found in traditional Japanese woodblock prints. She blends these concepts in with her personal style of non-traditional, vibrant color pairings, abstract natural shapes, and fluid pattern-work.
